Barbara Eillison

By day a high school English teacher at Prince of Wales High School, by night and weekend Barbara Ellison is a talented writer and playwright.

Ms Ellison is the head writer and inspiration for the series, 49th and Main. She wrote the bible for the series and co-wrote with Davis the first six episodes as well as the earlier Sample episode.

Her stage play, Teachers, was accepted and workshopped by The Playwrights' Theatre Centre in Vancouver and eventually produced by them in their annual Playwrights' Festival in 2003.

She has written several other plays, radio plays, and short stories.

Ms Ellison is also a performer, having trained at The William Davis Centre, and has performed in numerous commercials, currently famous for the A @ W grandpa burger commercial.
